Paws 4 Fun trains once a week at Eric Mobbs Reserve, Castle Hill on Sunday afternoons between 4pm and 6:30pm. We have classes for dogs that have no experience with training at all, right through to dogs training at advanced level in agility.

Who can join?
Our club is open to people and dogs of all ages, with the following restrictions: 

• Puppies must be 16 weeks or over to participate in classes. Before 16 weeks of age we recommend you attend a puppy class.
• Dogs must be 12 months or older to proceed to Intermediate or Advanced agility classes.
• Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Beginners Agility

After successfully completing our Introductory class you will move into our beginners agility class. In this class we introduce you and your dog to more obstacles in agility. We have small size and low height obstacles for learning on. Where your dog is younger than 12 months see our club rules for training restrictions.

Beginners Agility classes run from 4pm until 5pm on Sundays.

Training Goals for Beginners Agility Class

• Dog is confident on the following equipment: Standard and Wing Jumps, Table, Baby A-Frame, Dog-walk, Pipe tunnels and canvas tunnel.
• Dog is starting to weave.
• Dog will stay on table while handler walks around the table.
• Dog will negotiate 4 obstacles in sequence, off-lead, with a recall at the end.

Intermediate and Advanced Agility

From beginners you progress into our intermediate class. In our imtermediate and advanced classes we join up the obstacles by learning handling skills. We start to run courses, a few obstacles at a time at first.

Intermediate and advanced classes run from 5pm until 6 - 6:30pm on Sundays. 

Note: Dogs must be at least 12 months old to participate in either Intermediate or Advanced classes.

Training Goals for Intermediate Agility Class

• Dog will negotiate all equipment at full height.
• Dog is confident on the following equipment:  Standard and Wing Jumps, Broad Jump, Tire Jump, Table, Full size A-Frame, Dog-walk, See-saw, Pipe tunnels and canvas tunnel.
• Dog will weave 4 poles in a straight line.
• Dog will negotiate 8 obstacles in sequence, off-lead, with a recall at the end.

Fees

The fees include a clicker on joining and annual membership (until June 30^th each year). If you join during Term 2 you are not required to renew your membership mid year.

Note: An adult must accompany a child under 12 yrs.

There is also a $3 ground fee you must pay each week you come to training with your dog.

Class Times

Classes are held on Sundays during school terms, with the occasional overlap with School Holidays at the beginning or end of term. 

Please come 15 minutes before class starts to pay your $3 ground fee and help set up.
